Spain, the indie rock band formed by bassist-vocalist Josh Haden (son of jazz bassist Charlie Haden) in 1993, will be playing a much-anticipated gig in San Francisco CA, on Saturday, February 6, 2010, at the Red Devil Lounge.  Best known for their debut 1995 album, “The Blue Moods Of Spain”, and for the 1996 Johnny Cash cover of their song “Spiritual”, the S.F. show will be in celebration of their first new release in almost a decade, the 7” single “I’m Still Free”. “I’m Still Free” was recently christened “Song Of The Day” by Seattle’s KEXP radio station. It also was KCRW’s “Today’s Top Tune” on January 13, 2010. The single will also be available on iTunes and as an extremely limited edition CD.
